So, you poked your way through this app? Well, here is a really cool hidden feature: CDFinder can play sounds during various operations. To accomplish that, do this: - Create a resource file with the name "CDFinder Sounds" and place it in the folder with CDFinder. - Create or copy resources of the type "snd " - standard Mac sound resources - into that resource file. The sounds are played asynchronous, so they will not let you wait!!! I suggest to increase the memory partition of CDFinder a little if you have large sounds... The following resource numbers are currently being used: 1701 after CDFinder is launched 1702 before CDFinder is quit 1703 when you invoke a "Find" process 1704 if a "Find" process is done and has produced any results 1705 if an error occurs during "Find" 1706 a warning message, if you want to delete catalog files or folders 1707 a processing message, when CDFinder creates a catalog or scans the catalog folder at launch time 1708 "Accessing" when CDFinder opens a new catalog window 1709 a short click sound when a column header is selected (also in the Preferences window) Future versions of CDFinder will use more of this... If you are a Star Trek fan, you can contact me and I might provide you a nice sample file :-)) If you have created something nice, please send it to me!!! Enjoy!!
